Jujuy

Located in the north of Argentina, its geographical conditions turn it into a very special place, something that tourism has discovered in recent decades, incorporating even the small cities of Jujuy among the most chosen destinations when embarking on a trip towards this region.

Tilcara, Purmamarca, Maimará and Humahuaca are some of the most visited towns which celebrate different events that every year receive thousands of tourists attracted by typical dishes, popular festivals, and the most original carnivals in the world.

La Quebrada de Humahuaca (Humahuaca Gorge) is a Natural and Cultural Heritage of Humanity declared by UNESCO. On it, small towns are scattered with a geography that deserves a stay.

Another unmissable place in Jujuy is the Salinas Grandes, a perfect landscape to make us believe that we are on a different planet, or inside a science fiction story. A unique place.

Gastronomy

Jujuy cuisine combines the culinary heritage of the "criolla" cuisine of northwestern Argentina, with Andean cuisine, which gives its delicacies unique characteristics. Food goes "from the land to the plate", a characteristic that also enriches the gourmet kitchen.

DID YOU KNOW?... El Hornocal is an impressive mountain, with its 14 colors seems to have come from the creative imagination of a surrealist painter; and although the scientific part explains that "it is a calcareous formation with different types of minerals that were eroded and revealed a rainbow of colors on the slopes of the mountains", one does not stop wondering how something so spectacular could have been created.
